Malay Orchidia by Siripikan Malay Orchidia by Siripikan

Hello, I'm back! ( ;; v ;; )// <333 National exam has left and I'm planning to submit more conceptual art (or maybe just the simple ones) here. Just a plan for now since I can't read what will happen tomorrow. Please be patient while I read all messages on my inbox. I'll catch you soon, maybe //jumps from the roof

It was a scrap that I made months ago. The theme is about Borneo's Orchids. I end up with the two famous of them, the Black Orchid and the Moon Orchid. Both of them are have a big meaning for us, people of the East Kalimantan. Here if you want to see the formerly sketch of this. I almost wanted to make this as a greeting card but maybe next time.

Black Orchid (Coelogyne pandurata)
Black Orchid is a species of orchid that protected in Indonesia as endangered in their natural habitat. Black Orchid is a floral identity of East Kalimantan province. Its local name is Kersik Luai. It called the 'Black Orchid' because of the dark markings on the lip (labellum). They generally grow on old trees by rivers, near the coast, or in hot, damp, swampy lowlands. This species of orchid spreads around Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra and Kalimantan), and the Philippines (Mindanao, Luzon and Samar Islands).

Moon Orchid (Phalaenopsis amabilis)
Moon Orchid usually found in the eastern to southeastern regions of Asia. Plants in this genus are typically widespread in the areas of eastern Asia, such as China and Indonesia. Moon Orchid is one of the three national flowers in Indonesia, the other two being the Sambac jasmine and Padma raksasa. Officially recognized as national "flower of charm" (Indonesian: puspa pesona) in Presidential Decree No. 4 in 1993. In China, the orchid stood for refinement, friendship, perfection, numerous progeny, all things feminine, noble, and elegant.

First, saya nggak tau mau respon apa. Ini komen kamu unik sekali  Nggak perlu sampai cari tutorial nggambar anggrek juga kan wkwkwk tapi kalo emang butuh, ntar saya bikinin //plek

Kalo mau nggambar anggrek ya kuncinya cari referensi. Selebihnya sesuaikan sendiri XD

Orchids are the queen of flowers! Your two figures and the orchids they represent are gorgeous--and I love it when you give us the background of your pictures!

I have missed your pictures of Bornean things and culture....
